Barham High School is a rural and remote school on the lovely banks of the Murray River. The school has just been awarded an Excellence Awardee for The Australian Educator Best Regional School for 2024, and the Campaspe-Murray Business Awards for Best Professional Service Community Award.
Barham High School is seeking to continue to build on its success with the HSC and NAPLAN results, as well as continue to make BHS a destination school for students and staff alike. Staff productively work together and it is an amazing place to work, live and continue to learn.
Barham High School is host to 166 students in 2024 who come from a number of feeder schools both in New South Wales and Victoria who have a diverse range of interests and abilities. The school has a dedicated staff that has a diverse cross–section of beginning and highly experienced teachers. Barham High School has a Multi-Categorical Support Class to assist students in accessing the curriculum and is well resourced with over 350 devices to support student learning, recently refurbished science laboratories, food technology, gym and timber and metal workshops.
Barham High School is a 6-point incentive school which may attract incentives such as the $20,000 Rural Teacher Incentive, which includes a 70% teacher housing rental subsidy, $10,000 Experienced Teacher Benefit, $10,000 Stamp Duty Relief, and up to $8,000 relocation allowance is available.
